INTECOLOR TERMINAL EMULATOR (ITE)

The Intecolor Terminal Emulator (ITE) System is a proven replacement for all Intecolor 3800, 8001, 8300, 8800, and 8900 series color terminal displays. The robust emulation ability of the ITE system easily replaces outdated proprietary hardware-driven display platforms formerly manufactured by Intelligent Systems Corporation and Intecolor Corporation.

The ITE System faithfully emulates the ISC 8001 software developed in the early 1970's till protocol development ended in the early 1990's. This ASCII/Control/Escape RS-232C protocol was unique and is fully implemented by the ITE System.

Using the ITE System

Simply connect the ITE Computer System to any VGA compatible display of any size, technology, or mounting method, then connect to the host computer with the supplied cables. The included software performs 100% 8001/8800 protocol emulation... that simple.

ITE System Details

The ITE System comes equipped with emulation software on solid-state compact flash media. The software operates on a dedicated DOS operating platform (non-windows environment), and is designed solely as a dedicated Intecolor protocol emulator.

The ITE System is fan-less, 100% solid-state, and consumes very little power (less than 10 watts). Customization is also available upon request.

There are many industrialized TFT LCD display and keyboard suppliers of which we support and can recommend as proven products.

Generally, a commodity TFT LCD display with stock keyboard can be used in non-harsh environments.

For purposes of replacing an Intecolor 8001, 8800, or 8900 Series 19" display, a 17" TFT LCD display will yield the same display viewing area. A 12" TFT LCD display is perfect for replacing the 3800 or 8300 Series 14" display.
